Right after Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman left Yes at the end of 1979, the remaining three members begun rehearsing in search for new ideas. Actually, they were finalizing what they had started when Jon and Rick were still in, working on three tracks (Tempus Fugit, Does It Really Happen? and Run Through the Light) that would be later released on Drama, plus a few more which would be left out of the album. While they were rehearsing, a young band was playing in the studio next door, notably two young musicians called Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes, better known as The Buggles. The pair introduced themselves to Yes and the rest is history. But what Trevor and Geoff heard from their recording session is what you hear here, we know as the Drama Demos. This is a very interesting piece of history, the bridge between the easy pop of Tormato and the new-wave influenced.
