Til Klovers Takt is an album that stands on the shoulders of everything that came before it in Kampfar's catalogue. It draws inspiration from the first song written 28 years ago as much as it leans on any other period in the band's past. The surroundings of Hemsedal and Hallingdal with their rich history and awe-inspiring nature forms the background for the stories told within the six chapters as well as influencing the tonal and rhythmical approach to the songs. The result is a finely tuned album where each piece has its own voice and its own atmosphere, where nothing is accidental and where the band, having taken control of all aspects of the recording process, were able to create exactly the album they set out to release. Til Klovers Takt is the culmination of four lifetimes worth of experience in songwriting and musicianship, coupled with the hunger to always make the next work the best, it is the image of a band in their prime.

Kampfar presents the fiercest and most intense recording of their career. Since its first conception in 1994 with folk and classical music influences, via the colder winds on Kvass, the band has kept on renewing, and elevated into the black metal authority that reaches its peak on “Profan”.

The gentlemen around growling myth-lover Dolk have yet again accomplished a nice piece of Viking steel with powerful Pagan Metal accents. The ingenious four are all for sublime mid-tempo rhythms, intricate structures, guitar staccati, majestic melodious anthems and the resprective atmosphere. This always works for the devoted fan, and I am moved by the intensity and dignity of their performance. It is impressive to see how they always manage to stay within the limits of their elite "Nordkunst" cult, and yet add some fresh and crispy touches. "Heimgang" is a class of its own. Unique.

Kvass is the third studio album by Norwegian Folk / Black metal band Kampfar. The album was released in 2006 under the Napalm Records label. Recorded and mixed at Silvertone Studio in Gamle Fredrikstad, Norway between November 2005 & January 2006. Mastered at Masterhuset in Oslo, Norway on February 2006.

Originally released by Hammerheart in 1999, Kampfar’s Fra Underverdenen displayed an even darker and more ominous side to the Norwegians’ unique black/pagan metal style. Out of print since 2002, demand has been high for this gem of "Norse Pagan Folklore Metal." Included as a bonus is the preceding Norse EP.

Norse is the second EP by Norwegian Black Metal band Kampfar. The EP version of the track "Norse" is slightly different from the re-recorded album version. The EP version features more prominent keyboards e.g. Recorded at X-Ray Studios in July 1998. Mastered at Lydmuren Studio in Sarpsborg, Norway.

Mellom Skogkledde Aaser is the first full-length of the Norwegian band Kampfar. The album was recorded at X-Ray Studios in September-October 1996. Released under Malicious Records in 1997, it was re-released by Napalm Records in May 2006.

Kampfar is a black metal band formed in 1994 in Fredrikstad, Norway, by Dolk (Per-Joar Spydevold), as vocalist and drummer, and Thomas (Thomas Andreassen) as guitarist and bassist. ,,Kampfar'' (an archaic Norse battle cry meaning ,,Odin'') was formed when Dolk decided to quit his black metal band Mock (which ceased its activity until 2012, but is active today) and recruited Thomas, a musician with a folk background. Their joined forces resulted in an original, folk-influenced black metal sound, the perfect combination between black metal and folk. The EP from 1996 has (besides Kampfar and Hymne, two songs which are also on the Demo) a third song called Hjemkomsten.
