A significant part of the 1993 Paramount film Indecent Proposal's seductive charm is John Barry's sad, sensual music. In one of this most heartfelt themes of the '90s, the main theme captures the story's essential feelings and honors its highest aspirations. An elegant piano melody floats across a warm string bed, and the sensation is one of romance tinged with sadness and loss. Throughout the score, strings are like beds of silk and champagne, and the piano—melodic and arpeggiated—is liberally sprinkled over them like rose petals. Everything is warm and luscious, even when the mood is sad or uncertain. Heartbreak is woven into the sensuality. Straightforwardly tonal, the score's mood ranges from nostalgically beautiful to dark and dangerous to sad and sexy. At the time of the film's release, the soundtrack album to Indecent Proposal emphasized the songs heard in the film, including the original song to which John Barry contributed, "In All the Right Places," and a single track medley running around 25 minutes.

"Madness, Money & Music" is the 3rd album by singer Sheena Easton. It was released in 1982 and produced by Christopher Neil. The album includes the singles "I Wouldn't Beg for Water" (US #64) and "Machinery" (US #57, UK #38), as well as the UK single "Are You Man Enough". The album featured an early recording of the song "Wind Beneath My Wings", which would later be famously covered by Bette Midler and others. It also included the first recording of "You Do It", subsequently recorded by Diana Ross and Rita Coolidge, and a cover of Janis Ian's classic "In The Winter". The album was one of Easton's lower-charting efforts, reaching #85 in the United States #44 in the UK, but was more successful in Scandinavia and went Gold in Canada. Easton promoted the album by way of an hour-long special Act One, produced for American television and syndicated worldwide, during which she performed a number of songs from the album and embarked on her first world tour.

1980s pop diva Sheena Easton was born Sheena Shirley Orr in Bellshill, Scotland on April 27, 1959. Inspired to pursue a singing career after seeing Barbra Streisand in The Way We Were, she later attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama while moonlighting with the group Something Else. Exposure on the BBC television production The Big Time: Pop Singer not only resulted in a record deal with EMI but also pushed Easton's 1980 debut singles, "Modern Girl" and "9 to 5," into the U.K. Top Ten, and she became the first female artist to score two simultaneous Top Ten hits…
