This textbook provides a coherent, integrated look at various topics from undergraduate analysis. It begins with Fourier series, continues with Hilbert spaces, discusses the Fourier transform on the real line, and then turns to the heart of the book, geometric considerations. This chapter includes complex differential forms, geometric inequalities from one and several complex variables, and includes some of the author's original results. The concept of orthogonality weaves the material into a coherent whole. This textbook will be a useful resource for upper-undergraduate students who intend to continue with mathematics, graduate students interested in analysis, and researchers interested in some basic aspects of Cauchy-Riemann (CR) geometry. Copenhagen, Denmark, 1926. Einar Wegener (played by Eddie Redmayne) and his wife Gerda (Alicia Vikander) are a happily married couple. Both are artists, Einar preferring landscapes and she portraits. The goal of this work is to present the principles of functional analysis in a clear and concise way. The first three chapters of Functional Analysis: Fundamentals and Applications describe the general notions of distance, integral and norm, as well as their relations. A disparate group of travelers is eating in an isolated restaurant when a man drops dead of a heart attack. Before he dies, they discover that he is wanted for stealing several million dollars, and he tells them that he has hidden a million dollars in each of four different locations, and gives them clues as to where the locations are. They all then take off and try to get to the hidden treasure before any of the others do.

A planet is discovered in the same orbit as Earth's but is located on the exact opposite side of the sun, making it not visible from Earth. The European Space Exploration Council decide to send American astronaut Glenn Ross and British scientist John Kane via spaceship to explore the other planet. After a disastrous crash-landing Ross awakes to learn that Kane lies near death and that they apparently have returned to Earth, as evidenced by the presence of the Council director and his staff. Released to the custody of his wife, he soon learns things are not as they seem.
