This is the complete compilation of Garth Ennis' and Jacen Burrows' version of a post-apocalyptic comic book series.


Crossed is a nine-issue limited series (10 if you count #0) written by Garth Ennis and drawn by Jacen Burrows and published by Avatar Press. It began with Crossed #0 in August 27, 2008 and ended with Crossed #9 that was solicited for release August 2009 yet but actually released last March 3, 2010. It follows survivors dealing with a zombie-like plague that causes it victims to carry out their most evil thoughts and wishes, including murder, rape, mutilation, arson, etc. Carriers of the virus are known as the Crossed since a cross-like rash appears on their faces. This contagion is primarily spread through bite wounds but can be spread by any bodily fluid, which the Crossed use to deadly effect in one instance by treating their ammunition with their infected fluids, making even a flesh wound a disease vector. The main story takes place ten months after the first outbreaks, with flashbacks to those events. It is narrated in the past tense. As is typical of Garth Ennis comics, extremely graphic, violent, and even more sexually explicit. Intended for Mature readers.
