John Montroll, "Origami: Wild Animals"
English | 2004 | ISBN: 0486439704 | 48 pages | PDF | 11 MB

Summary: Partial Reprint
Rating: 5

Having not heard of this book and being unable to find out anything about it, I took the risk and ordered it (after all, the price was low enough that I was risking very little). I was expecting something along the lines of Montroll's smaller, staple-bound books (i.e. BIRDS IN ORIGAMI, FAVORITE ANIMALS IN ORIGAMI, or even ORIGAMI AMERICAN STYLE). What I found was something different. This is a partial reprint from John Montroll's ORIGAMI FOR THE ENTHUSIAST and ANIMAL ORIGAMI FOR THE ENTHUSIAST. The models include in this reprint are:

Snake (from ANIMAL ORIGAMI FOR THE ENTHUSIAST)
Bear (from ANIMAL ORIGAMI FOR THE ENTHUSIAST)
Kangaroo (from ANIMAL ORIGAMI FOR THE ENTHUSIAST)
Giraffe (from ANIMAL ORIGAMI FOR THE ENTHUSIAST)
Fox (from ANIMAL ORIGAMI FOR THE ENTHUSIAST)
Elephant (from ORIGAMI FOR THE ENTHUSIAST)
Antelope (from ANIMAL ORIGAMI FOR THE ENTHUSIAST)
Rhinoceros (from ORIGAMI FOR THE ENTHUSIAST)

These are good models from Montroll's early days. They are every bit as creative as his later models but tend to be a little thicker thus requiring thinner paper for good results. Is you have ORIGAMI FOR THE ENTHUSIAST you might want this as there are only two models from it. But if you have ANIMAL ORIGAMI FOR THE ENTHUSIAST then this will be mostly repeats.
