About the Author
Jeffrey M. Warren, PhD, is an associate professor and chair of the Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. In 2013, Jeff received the Outstanding Scholar Endowed Award for Research from The Professional Counselor, the journal of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). The North Carolina Counseling Association recognized him as the 2016 recipient of the Professional Writing and Research Award. Jeff is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a National Certified School Counselor (NCSC), and holds licensure as a professional school counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPCS).
