Practical Induction Heat Treating

Richard E. Haimbaugh, "Practical Induction Heat Treating"
ASM International | 2001 | ISBN: 0871707438 | 332 pages | PDF | 10,1 MB

Summary: Practical experience speaks
Rating: 5

An excellent book… well written, clearly puts the various facets of induction heating in full perspective - Touches upon details like short cycle induction tempering, with the metallurgical implications - I found this to be a very interesting chapter.

Defect analysis, quenchants, microstuctures, residual stresses, various cycles and control plans are covered in detail. Lovely photographs of various coil designs and shapes. A reading must for practising engineers and metallurgists.

I would definitely recommend it over other books in this field, especially for those who are looking at replacing conventional heat treatment with the induction process.
