Raine

J.C. Valentine "Raine"
CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform | English | August 31, 2014 | ISBN: 1501020390 | 328 pages | azw, epub, lrf, mobi | 3,5 mb

I am so very pleasantly surprised with how this book turned out. It could have gone a multitude of ways and so many things could have happened. But how JC Valentine let the story play out was perfect. The switch between two points of views was seamless and so easy to get into.

I loved our characters. I loved Raine, she was easy to connect with and relate to. More importantly I was able to travel the ups and downs she was feeling throughout the story. The way JC was able to make me relate to both our male and female characters is such a great symbol of how great she writes. I loved Jarret. I felt for him too, everything he was going through. But I think what makes him stand out, is that despite what people say or are telling him what to do, he does what he wants, what he knows is right. With that being said, man he sure did break my heart though. Just when I thought the story line was finally working out for Raine, like she might be able to get a little bit of that happiness, JC goes and throws me a curve ball, Jarret, her parents, sheesh. Can't the girl catch a break!?!

JC did such a great job with this book. I loved everything about the storyline, the writing style, and especially the ending for our characters.
