Hot Rebel (A Hostile Operations Team Novel) may the best of the series to date. At the very least, it is the most compelling read, causing me to read late into the night. There is suspense, danger, political intrigue, questionable characters and questionable ethics as well as hot emotional romance between Nick and Victoria. Lynn Raye Harris has given us a tough hero but an even tougher heroine. I enjoyed the push and pull that was a constant between these two highly trained warriors.

The mystery surrounding Victoria’s boss, her sister and the ethics of mercenary work makes this a riveting read. Adding to all this suspense is the off the charts romantic chemistry between Nick and Victoria. These are two realistically written snipers written as if to display their intense personalities and different goals. While I might not always agree with Nick and Victoria, I did understand and relate. I was pulling for them all the way.

The visual description is as well done as the emotional dialogue and character insight. I have never been to a country such as Qu’rim but through the eyes of Victoria and Nick the beautiful harsh desert landscape is vividly portrayed. I could swear I felt the small hot breezes on sweat soaked clothing and saw “the shimmering heat on the horizon.”

Lynn Raye Harris has become my go-to-author for solid and well-written suspense romance. Needless to say, I loved Hot Rebel!
