Today's Yoga class is a Beginners Quick Yoga Flow. Time to take some time for yourself! This is a gentle flow but remember to only go as far as your body feels fit. Being a beginner it's super important to really take it slow and focus on alignment more than pushing yourself into an uncomfortable pose that your body isn't ready for.
Start your day off strong and with a clear mind. I focus on modern yoga practice and try not to take anything too seriously. Have fun with the postures and enjoy the sensations you feel in your body. That being said, if something doesn't feel right in a particular posture, do not force it. Listen to your body and take any modifications you feel necessary.
We will start and end the class with a breath work exercise. This first breath work exercise will invite you to pay attention to the rhythm of your breath. It´s called the 4-7-8 technique. Inhale for 4, hold for 7 and exhale for 8. And after the practice we will end up 5 deep inhales and exhales, focusing on one particular affirmation. Today's affirmations will be focused on our health.
Breath at your own pace baring in mind what feels natural for your body and your rhythm. There is no perfect practice and we are all at different stages in our physical, emotional and spiritual body, so enjoy the session and leave feeling proud of your progress!
