This book presents a new approach to model carbon structures such as graphene and carbon nanotubes using finite element modeling. Extensive research has been devoted to carbon nanotubes and graphene properties and applications worldwide. Continuum approaches presented exciting potentials in predicting material properties at nanoscale. This book addresses current advancements in the numerical studies of these materials. Based on the available findings, it develops an effective finite element approach for modeling the structure and the deformation of graphene based materials. Modeling processing for single-walled carbon nanotubes and multi-walled carbon nanotubes is demonstrated in detail.
