Five year old Gabe runs away from home. While in the forest he meets Lep and Elita and climbs a rainbow. I read this story to my six-year-old and he had a lot of questions about it. Why did Gabe go alone into the woods? Why didn’t the leprechaun wear green? Will he ind his family? The story is sweet and it’s engaging. A quick bedtime read with endearing illustrations. I asked my son what he thought of it and how many stars he would give it. He looked at me a while and then said, “I want to slide down a rainbow. So it was good.” Rainbows make everything better, don’t they? Review by Jennifer Ponce
