About the Author:
Donna Langston is a professor and chair in ethnic studies at California Polytechnic University. She was formerly a tenured professor and chair in women's studies at Minnesota State University. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Washington
, in political science, magna cum laude, in 1993. A Fulbright scholar, she has been a recipient of creative nonfiction awards. She lives in San Luis Obispo, California.
