Basic Solid State Electronic Circuit Analysis Through Experimentation

Basic Solid State Electronic Circuit Analysis Through Experimentation (Basic Solid State Electronic Circuit Analysis 4th ed) by Lorne MacDonald
English | 1 Jan. 2000 | ISBN: 0911908285 | 482 Pages | PDF | 60.9 MB

The book begins with a review of dc and ac circuits and then introduces solid state diodes. Included are general purpose diodes, zeners, LEDs, varactors and Schottkys. The biasing of NPN and PNP transistors includes base biasing, collector-feedback biasing, universal biasing, and two-power-supply biasing. The field effect transistor chapters include frequency response and tuned circuits followed by direct-coupled, two-stage cascade and cascode amplifier circuits. In the power supply chapter, bulk supplies are introduced and developed in complexity from half-wave supply through series pass regulator with short circuit protection. The last two chapters deal with thyristor switches and latches and semiconductor switching. The theory in the book is complete for the introductory circuit course, and circuit analysis techniques developed are all calculated and measured with ease. The laboratory exercises were written so they can be used in a standard hardware laboratory or on the computer using NI Multisim 10, Electronics Workbench.
