Description

Ten quick lessons (plus an extra video) to get the student dancing Bachata right away. Lessons are quick and get to the main points right away. Each video is around 5 minutes in length. I have been teaching Latin dance for about 20 years and endeavor to focus on the important aspects of dancing (as opposed to minutiae) that will be immediately useful. Since students can rewind and watch the videos as many times as they please, material isn't repeated at length, but rather clearly presented once from different angles and practiced only a few times. We assume zero knowledge of bachata dancing, start from the basic movements, and proceed to add practical dance moves for your solo dancing as well as with a partner. The course covers the basic, right and left turns, alternate movements within the basic, Dominican-style footwork, double turns, proper frame, how to properly execute a dip with a partner, a simple body roll, and others. At the end of the course we combine all of moves learned in a dance recapitulating everything previously taught so that the student can see a suggestion of how to apply the moves learned in a single dance.
