Description

If you have ever been interested in the subject of human emotions, the human mind and where our dreams come from? why do people get angry and frustrated with Life? what are the courses of anxiety and depression? Come on a journey with me as we go back in time to meet some of the founding Fathers of Psychology and discovery their theories and the connections some of them had in common. Let me introduce you to the likes of Wilhelm Wundt, William James, Sigmund Freud, B F Skinner and Carl Jun. These individual and many others laid some of the foundational pillars of Psychology as they each contributed to the understanding of human emotions, choices and behaviors. And while the likes of Sigmund Freud have taken a central stage in the fields of Psychology and rightfully so, especially considering the immense contribution of Freud's works on the Subconscious and the widespread of his completed theory on Personality that has shaped human image and in most cases our values as a society. But let me introduce you to another legend named John B Watson and his theory of Determinism:   Can you pre-determine the future of a child? Can your upbringing and environment pre-determine your future or is life a matter of chance and luck? Watson take on these and many more challenging questions of Life by arguing that he can very much turn anyone, from anywhere into whatsoever he so desires and with a guarantee they will become such as a person as he has pre-determine. Thus, showing us by this theory that our lives can very much be pre-determine and we equally have the potentials to reverse the outcome of our future if we so determine so to do through the choices, believes and values we hold unto in life. Watson is in my personal Opinion, One of the founding Forefathers of Positive Psychology. Prepare for a ride of fun.
