Description
Hi, I'm Daniel Ogu, a graphics designer and illustrator for over seven years now.I created the course because I noticed a large amount of beginners in my field struggle to get a stable amount of gigs, they try to complicate things when really there's a very simple route they could go about to start earning with digital illustrations. And that route involves two of my favourite things on this planet, Adobe Illustrator and the Fiverr platform.A novice designer could learn some vector graphics skills on adobe illustrator and since it's a reasonably in demand skill he/she could open up a good gig on the Fiverr platform and start earning. It sounds simple but a lot of people struggle with this because of two main reasons, they don't have the right skills learnt for profit on Adobe illustrator and they don't know how to setup a good profile and gig on the Fiverr platform. So I've selected four of my high demand skills that has earned me a considerable ton on the Fiverr platform over the years and taught them in this course. I also have a special section teaching you how to open up a successful Fiverr profile and gigs to earn money with these skills learnt. With over 8hrs of high quality, in demand and detailed tutoring I cover the following topics.Vector Portrait creation:This course covers everything you need to know about how to turn any picture to a beautiful vector illustration that can be used for different purposes like for album covers, podcast covers, decorations, merch, the uses art really endless.Settings things up: is the chapter showing you the best settings to apply on Adobe illustrator while creating a file and with the windows setup to make life a lot easier and smoother while working on vector portraits. The Pen and shape builder tools: is the chapter that covers the two tools you be using almost exclusively while working on these illustrations, so important I had to create a whole chapter just to ensure you had them mastered.Outlining Breakdown: is the chapter where I breakdown different subjects so you understand what parts of these subjects will be represented by lines or shapes in the outlining phase. The outlining phase being the skeleton of the vector illustrations, it's important to know how to represent each line or shape in the illustrations with the proper techniques.Outlining montage: involves an audio described montage of me creating the outlines for our subject used.Shading theory: is a chapter showing you all what you need to know on general shading theory. Shading is very important to your illustration as it's what helps make certain parts of the illustration appear 3 dimensional. So it's important that you understand general shading theory and my very simple technique for shading on Adobe illustrator.Shading montage: involves an audio described montage of me creating the shading for our subject usedColouring theory: in this chapter I cover my process for colouring the vector portraits and I cover the common mistake novice illustrators make while colouring the human skin and how I solve that issue.Colouring montage: involves an audio described montage of me creating the colouring for our subject used.Highlighting and Final: these two chapters involve me showing you my processes for creating highlights on the subjects and my final remarks.Logo design from faces:This is one of my most in demand skills on the Fiverr platform and it would be a crime against humanity for me to not include this among what I teach on this course. You'd be shocked how many requests I get to create a logo from a face on Fiverr.Selecting your image: unfortunately not all pictures with faces can be turned into beautiful looking faces, here I teach you how to select the right quality of images to use, especially for the technique I want to teach on this course.Using the filter gallery: here I show you how to use the filter gallery on Photoshop or Illustrator as part of the steps to creating a face logo.Learn the tools: with this mini tutorial I show you how to use the pen tool and shape builder tools, especially since you will be working with them almost exclusively on these projects.Shaping things out: here I show you how to use the shape builder tool and pen tool to shape out the main logo after using the filter gallery trick previously used.Negative space version: here I show you how to create a negative space version of the logo that you can use on dark backgrounds.Face icon illustration:While you might not be getting a lot of orders for face icons on Fiverr often, this is a very useful skill for every illustrator to have in his/her arsenal. You can use this skill to create a lot of cool graphics for personal use and for your client$.Breakdown: Here I breakdown my personal style for creating icons and show you how I represent certain elements of the face in my style.Outlining: Here I show you how to recreate the outlines of the icon design with my pen tool technique.Duplicating the outline: Here I show you how to duplicate the outlines of the design to creating symmetric looking designs.Colouring: we go into colouring our icon.Shading: we go into shading our icon to add a bit of dimension to the design.Minimal flat design:There's so many ups to learning and mastering this illustration style, from being able to create jobs for clients to being able to creating simple video animations to stock images. The possibilities are so endless.Intro class: in the intro class I cover the different ways people create flat illustrations, what makes them categorised as flat illustrations the main rules of flat design. I also cover the different uses of flat illustrations. My flat illustration method: covers how I create simple flat illustrations on Adobe illustrator without any prior sketches or knowing how to draw.Working with layers: it's important to know how to work with the layers menu on abode illustrator while working on flat designs on Illustrator, so here I cover everything you need to know.Main project: Here we take on a project, turning a simple picture into a flat illustration, you get to see my process up close and how I work. Earn on Fiverr course:This is the main thing, we cover everything you need to know to create a successful Fiverr profile and gigs.I cover all the key details in the seller account creation process and all the important things in the gig creation process that the inexperienced Fiverr seller may overlook like keywords, tags, the best ways to create a description, price and scope, gig images. There a lot of insights in this course from my personal experiences as a Fiverr seller since 2018.
