After experiencing a tragic event, a fresh start in a different part of the country seems like a good idea to the Curtis family. Mother of two, and former private detective Laura Curtis, is convinced they are leaving the bad times behind. She should know better. She may want to forget the past, others will not let her. The problems stem from evil corruption within the European Defence Agency. A few of the evil people involved think she has something they're desperate to get their hands on. And they'll stop at nothing to get it. Lies, deceit, kidnap and torture, even cold-blooded murder. She'd seen it all before but this is much too close to home. She thanks God for the new friends she's made; she feels they can all be trusted, or can they? Laura is tough and she doesn't scare easily but when her unknown enemy attacks her family, she is really scared. Then she gets angry, then she vows to fight back and bring down the bad guys. The problem is, she has no idea who they are which means she has no idea who to trust. But what exactly do they want? More importantly, where the hell is it? Finding it becomes a rollercoaster ride.
