Project Definition is the process of defining the project information, like accounting information, logistic related information. Also, Project definition is used to set System defaults n system controls at project definition level.

Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)The WBS is used for project structuring in SAP PS, breaking down the project into smaller, manageable tasks and sub-tasks, making it easier to plan and control.
