Here is a preview of the content, in Winston's words:

The Evolution of Common Law In The Courts
The King James Version of the Holy Bible has always been an interesting document. It was the accepted and 'authorized' version of the Christian scriptures for centuries to be used in churches and even in the courts. In some of the old courts here in America when court opened, the bailiff would enter court carrying a copy of the King James Bible and the judge would follow the bailiff into the court. This is where the "all rise" came into the court proceedings. People were rising to honor the Bible, not the judge in particular. Everyone respected the King James Bible as being "THE" authority in the court, and everyone relied on the precepts of the Bible as being the final say in any legal matter.

Our practices in today's world of court have changed dramatically as we have turned from the Common Law to the Admiralty practice where King James is not the final word. Now we all rise when the judge enters the court room. Apparently the judge has replaced the Creator in our courts as the final judge. In our modern Admiralty Courts, the King James Bible has to be entered in as a foreign document or foreign judgment.

The Foundation of Commerce
Our commercial system, along with free enterprise, capitalism, etc., are all inventions of Christianity. For instance if a Muslim or Buddhist wants to do commerce, they defer to Christianity for the purpose of that commercial transaction…and then go back to their ordinary religious pursuits. Many people on the planet use the barter system which is outside of Christianity for their normal pursuits, but if the barter goes interstate or international then they have to "appear" as Christians, at least for that particular transaction.

The Maxims of Law
Even though the King James Version has been 'outlawed' in the Admiralty courts, the principles contained in it are still the cornerstones of commerce. If you look at the commercial maxims you will easily see that these have come from the King James Bible and are as relevant today as they were in the days of King James. It is just how we do business. So if you have an occasion to pursue a matter in our commercial/admiralty courts you would use the commercial maxims instead of quoting the New Testament, etc.

If you missed the original event, this is another opportunity to hear Winston as he provides a thought-provoking analysis of the dramatic evolution of Common Law into Admiralty practice in today's world of court. He will also reveal the imperative Maxims of Law in commerce and their origin in the King James Bible.

This important lecture examines the 10 important Maxims of Law, as well as these other critical topics which are sure to give you a clearer vision of the cornerstones of commerce!
