Watching a yogi do intricate postures can be a little intimidating. Have no fear! The way I teach yoga on “Yoga for Absolute Beginners" will make it easy for you. From the very first time you follow along, you'll be doing actual Asanas (postures) and Pranayama (breathing) techniques that have been handed down from teacher to student for thousands of years. You'll learn all the basic postures and breathing in 4 separate 25 -minute practices.
I've even included a couple of segments to fill you in on guidelines and my background in yoga. As you practice yoga your body will become stronger and more flexible. You'll also enjoy less stress, and experience how doing yoga surfaces as a more optimistic attitude throughout your day. That's because you'll be finding the path to health and happiness within, something that no ordinary exercise program can deliver. Join me and become a yogi today
High-impact workouts like aerobics, kickboxing and jogging are fine, but they can leave you dehydrated and beat. You do need to fatigue the muscles to truly become strong, but “no pain, no gain” is a myth. With yoga, you’ll also energize! “Yoga for Feeling Stronger Every Day" is especially formulated to rejuvenate the nadis (energy system) as you build muscle. With my techniques you'll get all the power and strength of endurance workouts. Plus you'll feel relaxed, because your source of power has been fortified, not mellow just because you're worn out!
Each 25-minute practices builds upon the previous one, until you have a complete program, from the most basic steps in Beginner I to the fun but challenging practice in Arm Strength II.
As one celebrity known her fitness regime said about yoga, "Now I'm working out and working in!"

Marlon Braccia began her spiritual studies at age six, when she asked her Italian grandmother to instruct her in arcane prayers. By age twelve, she was studying astrology, ballet, spirituality, diet, cooking and natural health practices. She began working as a prop and wardrobe stylist while simultaneously pursuing a modeling career and yoga studies. For eight years, Marlon worked both in front of and behind the camera, giving her a unique dual talent in production. In the early 90s, Marlon began studying yoga in New York City with disciples of Paramahansa Yogananda and Vivekananda, who were instrumental in bringing yoga to the West. Her study of Tantra includes; Hatha, Laya, Kriya, Swara, Nada, Bhakti, Jnana, Kundalini and ayurveda. Yogi Marlon enhanced her precognitive gifts with a wide-ranging study of Vedic scripture and methodology, along with varied Western holistic health practices. By 1994, Marlon had completed the first of many teacher-training programs and soon began working as a yoga instructor in Los Angeles. Her continuing studies with Yogiraj Rod Stryker began in 1994, through whom she became an initiated Kriya Yogi in 2000. In 1997, Marlon produced and starred in the first Los Angeles-based cable TV instructional yoga program, Yoga Time with Marlon Braccia. This groundbreaking 50-episode show reached eleven million US households weekly. Marlon then created a twenty-two title video series geared toward yoga for the beginner. AskYogiMarlon.com, an expansive site for yoga and health information, was launched in 2000. The video series was enhanced and expanded for a DVD release in 2003, which has sold over 650,000 copies internationally at outlets such as Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City, and on-line at Amazon, eBay and AskYogiMarlon.com. Her monthly syndicated Q&A column, Ask Yogi Marlon, appeared in three major spiritual periodicals (Yogi Times, Mystic Pop, The Light), with a combined run of over 65,000, and an estimated readership of nearly a quarter million. On-line, the column appears on numerous sites, visited by a daily worldwide readership averaging fifteen million. Her new DVD, Yoga for Couch Potatoes, is available online with major outlets pending. Most recently, Yogi Marlon has begun doing both audio and video podcasts. She continues Yogi Marlon continues to write and photograph her all-natural cookbook. She is currently seeking a publisher for a 2008 release of this title, The Enlightened Cook: Think Like a Yogi, Eat Like a King.
