Strong analysis fails when it never reaches a decision, leaving recommendations unread and actions untaken. In this course, Driving Business Decisions with Data Stories, you'll gain the ability to turn analysis into decisions that stick. First, you'll explore how to tailor a story and recommendation to a business audience, connecting it to a specific decision, framing the so what and the now what against organizational goals and constraints, adapting evidence and technical detail for each stakeholder, and communicating uncertainty, assumptions, and limitations. Next, you'll discover how to present a data story that leads with the recommendation, control pacing and emphasis, anticipate material objections, and address challenges honestly while redirecting toward the decision. Finally, you'll learn how to close the decision loop by confirming the decision, action, owner, and timeline, documenting evidence gaps, defining how results will be measured, and updating, extending, or retiring the story as conditions change. When you're finished with this course, you'll have the data storytelling skills and knowledge needed to drive real business decisions.
