Just enough to know what to ask AI for

What you'll learn

  • Know what to ask AI
  • Know what to Google
  • Have a basic understanding of fundamental CSS concepts
  • Speak confidently about CSS

Description

This course will not teach you to code.

Instead, it's a foundational base of knowledge for key areas of CSS. Knowing them will 10x (or more) your output when using AI to generate CSS.

Each lesson consists of a video overview of the concepts, plus an in-depth article to dive into the details.

This course is short, light and gives you just enough foundational knowledge to be dangerous.

The course starts with a "Fundamentals" sections where we learn the key concepts and fundamental building blocks of CSS. This section includes an overview on responsive design.

After that, we jump directly into a "Practical Tips" section where we cover specific concepts and common CSS "gotchas" that all new CSS learners run into. Some of the tips are around specific properties, like the "display" property and the "position" property… the ones that are foundational yet confusing. Some of the tips are concepts, like CSS shorthand values and practical information about CSS units.

Ultimately, instead of getting bogged down in the details and learning the entirety of CSS step-by-step, we're aiming to paint a broad picture of what CSS is, highlight some common "gotchas," and let you use AI or Google to fill in the rest!

Who this course is for:

Beginner CSS developers or people who want to skip learning to code, but better direct AI
