Iterative Learning Control for Deterministic Systems

Iterative Learning Control for Deterministic Systems by Kevin L. Moore
English | PDF | 1993 | 158 Pages | ISBN : 1447119142 | 19.2 MB

The material presented in this book addresses the analysis and design of learning control systems. It begins with an introduction to the concept of learning control, including a comprehensive literature review. The text follows with a complete and unifying analysis of the learning control problem for linear LTI systems using a system-theoretic approach which offers insight into the nature of the solution of the learning control problem. Additionally, several design methods are given for LTI learning control, incorporating a technique based on parameter estimation and a one-step learning control algorithm for finite-horizon problems. Further chapters focus upon learning control for deterministic nonlinear systems, and a time-varying learning controller is presented which can be applied to a class of nonlinear systems, including the models of typical robotic manipulators. The book concludes with the application of artificial neural networks to the learning control problem. Three specificways to neural nets for this purpose are discussed, including two methods which use backpropagation training and reinforcement learning. The appendices in the book are particularly useful because they serve as a tutorial on artificial neural networks.

Model-Reference Robust Tuning of PID Controllers

Model-Reference Robust Tuning of PID Controllers by Victor M. Alfaro
English | PDF | 2016 | 202 Pages | ISBN : 3319282115 | 6.1 MB

This book presents a unified methodology for the design of PID controllers that encompasses the wide range of different dynamics to be found in industrial processes. This is extended to provide a coherent way of dealing with the tuning of PID controllers. The particular method at the core of the book is the so-called model-reference robust tuning (MoReRT), developed by the authors. MoReRT constitutes a novel and powerful way of thinking of a robust design and taking into account the usual design trade-offs encountered in any control design problem.

Pneumatic Servo Systems Analysis: Control and Application in Robotic Systems (Advances in Industrial Control)

Pneumatic Servo Systems Analysis: Control and Application in Robotic Systems by Ling Zhao
English | EPUB | 2022 | 325 Pages | ISBN : 9811695148 | 55.2 MB

This book focuses on pneumatic servo systems analysis, control and application in robotic systems. The pneumatic servo systems are composed by pneumatic artificial muscles or cylinders, which are two important pneumatic actuators in industrial application. The active disturbance rejection control technique is used effectively to solve strong nonlinearity and uncertain factors for the pneumatic servo systems.

Hybrid Systems, Optimal Control and Hybrid Vehicles: Theory, Methods and Applications

Hybrid Systems, Optimal Control and Hybrid Vehicles: Theory, Methods and Applications by Thomas J. Böhme
English | PDF,EPUB | 2017 | 549 Pages | ISBN : 331951315X | 30.4 MB

This book assembles new methods showing the automotive engineer for the first time how hybrid vehicle configurations can be modeled as systems with discrete and continuous controls. These hybrid systems describe naturally and compactly the networks of embedded systems which use elements such as integrators, hysteresis, state-machines and logical rules to describe the evolution of continuous and discrete dynamics and arise inevitably when modeling hybrid electric vehicles. They can throw light on systems which may otherwise be too complex or recondite.

Prototyping of Concurrent Control Systems Implemented in FPGA Devices by Remigiusz Wiśniewski
English | EPUB | 2017 | 178 Pages | ISBN : 3319458108 | 3.5 MB

This book focuses on prototyping aspects of concurrent control systems and their further implementation and partial reconfiguration in programmable devices. Further, it lays out a full prototyping flow for concurrent control systems. Based on a given primary specification, a system is described with an interpreted Petri net, which naturally reflects the concurrent and sequential relationships of the design.
