This book will help you get an introductory idea about what secure coding is. Also, this book provides you with a list (and a few screenshots) of tools that you can use with the code that you’ve developed to ensure that it is secure. One nice thing about several of the tools noted in this eBook is that not only will the tool check your code for potential security risks, many tools provide you with the specific remediation or corrections that you need to make to your code so that it is in compliance with the best practices indicated by several organizations like OWASP and CERT, whose primary focus is on application security.
Also, at the end of this eBook is a growing list of resources. That is, I will frequently update this eBook when I receive info from my students, additional resources from my resources or additional content from readers, like you. So, please feel free to contribute, as this will be a live document!
