Black & White Speed Workflow
MP4 | Video: AVC 1280x720 | Audio: AAC 44KHz 2ch | Duration: 3.5 Hours | 2.65 GB
Genre: eLearning | Language: English

After taking the shot, while keeping in mind an effective composition and the visual impact of the photo, and you start working in the digital darkroom, then every photograph, whether it’s color or black and white, consists of only 2 major elements: Light and shapes. My iSGM2.0 workflow is designed to convert color photos to B&W fine art photographs, regardless the original color information, as all photo editing software like Lightroom and Photoshop, including plugins as NIK SEP2 and Topaz, are designed to do and therefore restricting the artistic freedom to some extent.

Duration of video: 2hrs 12 minutes new material and 1 hour 11 minutes with bonus tracks from the older video tutorial making it 3 hrs 23 minutes in total.

The iSGM 2.0 workflow objective is to convert color photos to B&W according to your artistic vision, independent of the original color information, with full control of the 2 key elements in a photograph: light and shapes. Shapes can be controlled by using ‘hard’ selections in combination with tools like gradients in according to the iSGM method, and light can be controlled partly by the iSGM technique and completely by the use of luminosity masks, a method documented and made accessible to the public by Tony Kuyper. Combine both and you have full and subtle control of any B&W photograph. There are no technical limitations anymore to realize your artistic vision.

Bonus material
We have included some parts of the Masterclass video as a bonus to the Speed workflow so that you don’t have to purchase the Masterclass video to use the Speed workflow.
Advanced (Masterclass) users will find the Speed workflow an interesting new tool in their box. They can skip the bonus material and go straight to the Speed workflow details.

More bonus material: the medium sized original editable tif files from New York City skyline shot.
Since we want to enhance the learning experience we’ve included the editable medium sized tif files from my awarded photo NYC skyline at sunrise so you can try out and practice with the suggestions in the video right away without needing to shoot a similar photo yourself.
