Excel is a fantastic tool to use for home use for creating detailed lists, doing simple and complex calculations, keeping track of your finances and investments, etc. It's better than a calculator because you can save a template and keep reusing it for repetitive tasks. Also, nearly every business uses Microsoft Excel and it is a must know for so many professions. I'm going to teach you Excel, step by step, starting with the very basics. I'll also give you step by step instructions on creating your own personal budget.

So not only are you going to learn Excel, but I'll show you how you can use and create a tool for your finances. Kind of a two for one special. Having your own personal budget is essential if you have financial goals like saving up for a college fund, down payment for a house, a VCR, clown school, etc. My family and I turned our finances around after creating and maintaining a personal budget. My daughters no longer have to wear my hand me downs any longer. Apparently oversized men's slacks and dress shirts aren't a good look for a tween girl. I'll have to plead ignorance on that one.
