In the PanelView Plus (PVP) Basics course you'll learn everything you need to know to setup, program, and troubleshooting the Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus, Plus 6, and Plus 7 line of HMI's.
You'll start by learning about all the different PanelView Plus models, as well as each unit's unique features and limitations. You'll also learn what networks and communications each model supports, as well as which versions of software and .MER Runtime files are supported on each.
Then you're given a tour of the hardware, including where the communications ports and memory cards slots are located. You'll even learn how to dis-assemble a panel and see where all the replaceable internal components are located, as well as how to install optional communications modules.
From there, you'll learn how to use PanelView Plus Configuration Menu, walking through each of the different menus and settings, and learning how to accomplish key tasks like setting the panel's Ethernet address, copying .MER Runtimes to and from the panel, as well as how to set the default startup application.
Next, you'll learn how to use the PanelView Plus programming software, FactoryTalk View Studio, starting with how to get a FREE copy to use to follow along!
