The first volume in the Around the World collection, 3D Total Textures vol.12 Release 2.0 "Textures from around the world part 1" has been created from 100% original photography submitted to 3DTotal by freelance artists from all over the world. The DVD contains 180 individual materials, comprising of over 626 individual, hand-crafted texture maps. Every texture has its own unique colour map, bump map, specular, and in some cases alpha and normal maps.

It all started in June 1999 as a project to make a simple 3D resource site. . . . Then in July 2001 we released Version 2of the 3DTotal site,which was seen by 100,000 visitors each month. The latest figures show a tremendous growth to over 1.5 million monthly visitor sessions.
We have many updates and site improvements planned which will increase traffic and revenue, which in turn will be reinvested creating a cycle of continued growth for 3D Total. Welcome to the New v12 Collection: Textures from around the world part 1. The original collection was created in 2006, utilising the best methods and technology of the time. Since then techniques and technology have both moved forward, and here at 3DTotal we felt that, although the original collection is still widely used and highly regarded among artists and studios of all calibers, it was time for an update.
This 'Around the World' collection has been created from 100% original photography submitted to 3DTotal by our army of freelance artists from all over the world. This array of authentic-styled textures from each country listed, could only be achieved thanks to the amazing links 3DTotal has with top texture artists worldwide. The DVD is split into the categories as listed below, but the textures are so versatile that they can be used in almost any fitting 3D environment.
This version contains 180 individual materials, comprising of over 626 individual, hand-crafted texture maps. Every texture now has its own unique colour map, bump map, specular, and in some cases alpha & normal maps. The 'Tiff' files can be saved out by using the 'Save as' option when 'right-clicking' (PC) or 'option-clicking' (Mac).
