Arkells - Between Us (2026) [Official Digital Download]

Nine-time JUNO Award winners Arkells are releasing their brand new album "Between Us" today. The album was produced and recorded in LA together with Grammy winner John Congleton (St. Vincent, Death Cab for Cutie, Wallows). It contains the new single "Next Summer" released today, for which there is an imaginative performance video. The chorus, which you can hum along immediately, is reminiscent of a mixture of The Killers and Gaslight Anthem, which invites you to sing along.

"Next Summer" is a hymn that finds solace in the uncertainty of the future. "When someone new comes into your life, you sometimes ask yourself, 'What did the last summer look like for this person? And for me? And what will the next summer look like?'" asks frontman Max Kerman. "This song is a tribute to the beauty and mystery of what could lie ahead, and an appreciation of how we have come to this day. The song is characterized by longing, but it is hopeful.“

A select group of fans enjoyed a preview of "Next Summer" and new details about the album earlier this week when Arkells took over The Big Chill ice cream parlor in Toronto and served the essence of summer in the middle of winter.
