Castelhemis, real name is Laboudigue Philippe was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine July 11, 1948, is a french singer of the 1980s. Castelhemis began his career in the late 1960s, a troupe of medieval shows where he learned the basics of on the job. Emerge from this period February 45 rounds in duo with a friend (they sign: “Castel and Vendôme”). His solo career began 10 years later. He writes his own music and lyrics, and his style is unclassifiable. Rock? Folk? Variety with some Latin rhythms? None of this, he writes songs that are unique, and gives a unique interpretation. It is perhaps one of the last troubadours, addressing in honestly all the themes that are dear to him, the Middle Ages, love, friendship, and denouncing human stupidity in its excess consumption, nuclear war and madness. Few publicized success has given mainly that word of mouth and the quality of his work. Voluntarily he stopped his career after his last album in 1988, tired of a system in which it would not bogged down.
