Finally: the first solo album of top drummer Jost Nickel with high-class guest lie.

Born in Kiel, Jost Nickel is one of the very few German top tour and session drummers alongside Wolfgang Haffner, whose name also enjoys an excellent reputation internationally. He succeeded as drummer and musical director in the band of Mousse T and played with Sasha, Johannes Oerding, Marla Glen and Seeed. Since 2006, Jost Nickel has been the drummer for Disko No. 1, the band of German soul superstar Jan Delay.

Involuntarily slowed down by the shutdown of the cultural business, Jost Nickel 2020 has used the time meaningfully and with "The Check In" has finally written and recorded his debut album, which is already eagerly awaited by many.

In addition to the German Top musicians, Claus Fischer (Bass), Hanno Busch (guitar), Simon Oslender (Keys), Lutz Krajenski (Arr.), Mark Smith (bass) and Dirk Berger (guitar) as well as the colleagues of Disko No. 1, international jazz stars such as Jimmy Haslip, Barry Finnerty and Jeff Lorber recorded the album.
