Instead of relying on well-known Christmas classics, Madsen have found the courage to create their own little Christmas classics. With a mixture of rock, punk and pop as well as a pinch of humor and kitsch, they perfectly capture the spirit of the "most wonderful time of the year". The band shows that Christmas can not only be contemplative, but also fun:
"We like Christmas. Reflecting on the year, giving presents, hanging out with the family, cooking together, decorating the house, listening to Christmas records - we enjoy all of these things."
"Die Weihnachtsplatte" is the result of a creative process that came about without much of a plan - similar to the punk album "Na gut dann nicht", new Christmas songs were written one after the other and suddenly an album was finished.
