"B-Sides and Rarities" is a compilation album by American dream pop band Beach House, released through Sub Pop and Bella Union. The compilation contains B-sides and rare, unreleased cuts along with two new songs, "Chariot" and "Baseball Diamond". It also includes the band's cover of Queen's "Play the Game".

Beach House is Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally. They have been a band for over a decade living and working in Baltimore, MD. "Depression Cherry" is their 5th full-length record.

"Beach House" is a dream pop duo from Baltimore, Maryland, formed in 2004. Singer Victoria Legrand's vocals have often been compared to those of Nico. Some music outlets have also compared Legrand's vocals to 1980s psychedelic rock vocalist Kendra Smith of the band Opal. Guitarist Alex Scally plays a Fender Stratocaster guitar in an E♭ Tuning. The group's influences include This Mortal Coil, Cocteau Twins, The Zombies, Brian Wilson, Françoise Hardy, Neil Young, Big Star, Tony, Caro and John and Chris Bell.

"Bloom" is the spectacular follow-up to Beach House's 2010 critically acclaimed work, "Teen Dream". Written over a course of two years, the album is a masterful landscape of chords, shimmering guitar lines, melodies, rhythms and textures, meant to be experienced as a singular vision. Led by the hit single "Myth", the album has already garnered high regards from CBS and Pitchfork. The recording exposes the fragile, yet beautiful, journey of our existence. Bloom is a dynamic and lush album that highlights the crafty sound of the indie pop-duo.

Once Twice Melody is the 8th studio album by Beach House. It is a double album, featuring 18 songs presented in 4 chapters. Across these songs, many types of style and song structures can be heard. Songs without drums, songs centered around acoustic guitar, mostly electronic songs with no guitar, wandering and repetitive melodies, songs built around the string sections. In addition to new sounds, many of the drum machines, organs, keyboards and tones that listeners may associate with previous Beach House records remain present throughout many of the compositions.

The writing and recording of Once Twice Melody began in 2018 and was completed in July of 2021. Most of the songs were created during this time, though a few date back over the previous 10 years. Most of the recording was done at Apple Orchard Studio in Baltimore. Once Twice Melody was mixed largely by Alan Moulder but a few tracks were also mixed by Caesar Edmunds, Trevor Spencer, and Dave Fridmann.
