Revolución diamantina is the first full album of orchestral works by Mexican composer Gabriela Ortiz. As the composer for some of the most intense and arresting music of our time, Ortiz’s work unites disparate worlds and lives through a compelling rhythmic drive, a street-born authenticity, and a vivid sense of color.

As Gustavo Dudamel concludes his final season as Music & Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Platoon releases Schumann Complete Symphonies - a recording that captures one of today's defining artistic partnerships through four works that continually reward reinvention. Recently titled as the orchestra's Music & Artistic Director Laureate and Founding Director of YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles), Dudamel's artistic relationship with the Los Angeles Philharmonic will continue well beyond this milestone.

On June 12, this new recording from Gustavo Dudamel and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela delves into the multifaceted sound world of Manuel de Falla, bringing together three of his most celebrated works: El amor brujo, Noches en los jardines de España, and El sombrero de tres picos. Together, they offer three distinct yet complementary visions of Andalusia, illuminating Falla’s engagement with Spanish musical identity.

"Libertador", Gustavo Dudamel's first soundtrack, and first composition to be released worldwide. Gustavo originally arrived to this project as musical advisor. Sometime later, Gustavo said he had come up with a melody that could work for the start of the film. He went to the piano and began playing the melody. When he finished playing, I think both of us realized that he had begun composing our soundtrack. Dudamel, who consulted with filmscore master John Williams in the preparations for this assignment, describes his soundtrack as atmospheric, post-Mahlerian music, full of tension, hope and struggle. The Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra and guests from the world of Venezuelan folk music lend the score a distinctive and irresistible Latin American flavor.

In 2015, Star Wars returns to the big screen with "Star Wars: The Force Awakens". Make sure to experience the soundtrack by legendary, five-time Academy Award winning composer, John Williams.

This alliance of marquee names proves to be a resounding success, thanks partly to the robust personalities of Barenboim and Dudamel, and partly to the choice of material, showcasing the early and late Brahms.

With this recording project, Gustavo Dudamel & Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela pay homage to two of our greatest inspirations: Beethoven and Bolivar. Two bold, passionate visionaries whose parallel lives straddled the transition from the Enlightenment to the revolutionary Romantic eras, who came of age in the shadow of Napoleon, and went on to dominate the cultural consciousness of their time. Bolivar led millions of South Americans to freedom and became the spiritual father of nations; Beethoven championed the emancipation of art from the sphere of the aristocracy and, in his symphonies, established the compositional and philosophical vocabulary for all music thereafter.

Gustavo Dudamel is back for an electrifying concert at the helm of Amsterdam’s Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, conducting works by two of Austria's greatest composers: Mozart and Mahler! Maestro Dudamel and the world-class RCO begin the evening with the perennially delightful Overture from The Magic Flute, one of the Salzburg genius's many masterworks that combines elements of the fugue and the sonata.
