Jackie's Bag is an album by American saxophonist Jackie McLean recorded in 1959 and 1960 and released in June 1961 by Blue Note. The Allmusic review by Steve Huey awarded the album 4½ stars and stated "the music on Jackie's Bag finds McLean in a staunchly hard bop mode, with occasional hints of adventurousness".

One of the only sessions tenor sax player Tina Brooks ever led during his short career, this 1960 recording features a superb studio lineup including trumpeter Freddie Hubbard, Duke Jordan on piano, Sam Jones on bass and Art Taylor on drums. An accomplished songwriter, Brooks wrote every tune here except for one.

"The Sermon!" is a 1959 album by jazz organist Jimmy Smith. It was produced by the Blue Note record label. Allmusic's Lindsay Planer described the album as "a prime example of Smith and company's myriad of talents".

"Open Sesame" is the debut album by trumpeter Freddie Hubbard released on the Blue Note label in 1960 as BST 84040. It features performances by Hubbard, Tina Brooks, McCoy Tyner, Sam Jones and Clifford Jarvis. The Penguin Guide to Jazz has included Open Sesame as part of a selected "Core Collection", and has summarized the album as "a great Blue Note set".

The Waiting Game was the unsung tenor saxophonist Tina Brooks’ final album, recorded in 1961 but not released until 1999. Brooks is one of the most under-appreciated tenor players and composers of the hard bop era, with only one of his four Blue Note sessions (the classic True Blue) released during his lifetime.
