Gong - Flying Teapot (Remastered) (1973/2026) [Official Digital Download]

Remastered from the original BYG Records tapes and cut for the first time ever at half-speed at the UK’s world-famous Stardelta Studios by Grammy Award–winning mastering engineer Lewis Hopkin, this exclusive RSD 2026 edition features a deluxe gatefold sleeve, archival artwork, and a 16-page booklet exploring the storytelling and mythology of the beloved Radio Gnome Invisible saga. Released under BYG Records - the original label that recorded the album before licensing it to Virgin - this definitive deluxe reissue delivers the best sound quality Flying Teapot has ever had: a true cosmic upgrade for Gong’s mind-bending masterpiece.

Originally unleashed in 1973, Flying Teapot kicked off the eccentric Radio Gnome Invisible trilogy, introducing the wild, otherworldly universe of Gong. Here reside the Pot Head Pixies, space-faring creatures who ride interstellar teapots and transmit transcendent messages via Radio Gnome Invisible. At its core, the album is a surreal fusion of psychedelia, jazz improvisation, and anarchic humour, propelled by Daevid Allen’s visionary madness.

Featuring the cult anthems “Radio Gnome Invisible,” “Flying Teapot,” and “Zero the Hero,” this edition resurrects Gong’s signature blend of absurdity and brilliance - now with stunning clarity that reveals every swirl of synth, every playful whisper, every glimmer of cosmic chaos.

Half-speed mastered. Fully teapot-powered.
