New concert recordings (2008-2017) by the legendary (fusion) rock formation KRAAN in the trio line-up HATTLER, WOLBRANDT & FRIDE. "The Trio Years - Encore" will be released as a CD in three-part digipack format and as a vinyl edition on 36MUSIC.

After the legendary Geman (fusion) rock formation KRAAN caused a sensation in the media landscape last year with their album "The Trio Years - Live", on which they featured recordings from the years 2008 to 2017, "The Trio Years - encore!" the sequel that has been eagerly awaited by fans. Like the successful predecessor, also recorded in the same period, HELLMUT HATTLER (bass), PETER WOLBRANDT (guitar) and JAN FRIDE (drums) present themselves in their usual virtuosic, playful top form. The trio shines on the pieces characterized by weightless jazz harmonies, melodically gripping rock themes and powerful grooves with homogeneous interplay and inspired solo excursions, the compositions exude an almost magical, melodically relaxed atmosphere. Perfectly staged in terms of sound technology by producer JÜRGEN SCHLACHTER, the CD version of this album offers 70"s band classics such as "Nachfahrt", "Kraan Arabia", "Vollgas Ahoi", "Let's Take A Ride" and (the 13th minutes) "Borgward" also has four bonus tracks. The songs "Siesta", "Hoch Das Bein" and "Birds" are studio recordings that HELLMUT HATTLER recorded with KRAAN two years ago on the occasion of his sixty-fifth birthday (and released on the anniversary album "Bassball 2") . "Jam No.2" comes from a sound check from 2014 at the Offenburg riding hall, in which HATTLER, FRIDE and WOLBRANDT impressively demonstrate their fantastically perfect and spontaneous interaction. The vinyl edition, on the other hand, presents not only all the tracks from the CD version (the 4 bonus tracks are not included), but also two splendid live versions of "Hallo Ja Ja I Don't Know" and "Andy Nogger" (which, for reasons of space, are on the vinyl version of the predecessor "The Trio Years - Live" was missing at the time).
