Believer's Magazine – August 2018

Welcome to the latest issue of Believer's Magazine. The behaviour and responsibilities of Christians towards God, and each other, are prominent in this month's articles. Eric Baijal begins a new series on the latter chapters of Paul's first letter to Timothy, a part of God's Word that deals directly with the behaviour expected of believers in the Lord Jesus. Another of former Editor John Grant's charts is presented on the centre-spread, and it provides an outline of the first epistle to Timothy so that the practical teaching can be put into context.
The very topical issue of the damage (to individuals and society in general) caused by misuse of social media is addressed in the first of a two-part article by Michael Penfold. Many secular voices are being raised in concern over the matter, and Christians would do well to consider the whole matter of 'self' in the light of God's Word.
Another new series begins this month, and the subject is 'Praise'. Written by John Griffiths, the articles range across the Bible with a view to refreshing our souls by giving to God the praise of which He is worthy.
