The big news of 1952 (at least in the comm ercial vehicle world) was the launch of the new Bedford CAVan by Vauxhall Motors, replacing the by-then antiquated, car-derived Bedford PC van. It was set to become an integral part of British and overseas street scenes throughout the 1950s/60s and beyond.
