Energy is the driving force of economy. Without adequate supply of energy, desired economic development is not possible. Since Bangladesh has limited energy resources, the country needs to explore alternative energy and ensure its optimum utilization. This is one of our key challenges ahead. We have gas which is our main energy source. Electricity generation largely depends on gas. So we have to find alternatives like solar, wind and others to reduce pressure on gas. In the last few years, many initiatives have been taken at both government and non-government levels to promote solar energy.
