First published in 1973 under the title 'Aeroplane Monthly', the 'Monthly' part of the title was dropped in 1999. This magazine concentrates on the period 1930-1960 in the development of aviation, with an emphasis on the countries of the former British Empire. History, nostalgia and preservation news comprise most of the content. Illustrations include colour and b+w archive photos and 3-view drawings. It also uses a significant amount of material drawn from the archives of 'Flight' and 'The Aeroplane', together with a lot of new original material.
