Daryl Braithwaite is an Australian pop singer. Best known as the lead vocalist of Sherbet, Braithwaite has also sustained a successful solo career, placing 15 singles in the Australian top 40, including the No. 1 hits "You're My World" and "The Horses". "Out On The Fringe" is an solo album by Daryl Braithwaite released in 1979. Born in Melbourne, Australia, in 1949, Daryl Braithwaite became one of Australia's most successful pop singers, both as a solo act and with the band Sherbet. Braithwaite moved to Sydney in the mid-'60s and sang in a number of bands before joining Sherbet in 1970. Between 1970 and Sherbet's demise in 1983, Braithwaite enjoyed huge success, both with the band and with a number of solo single releases.

Guitarist/singer Anthony Gomes releases his Ruf Records label debut CD, Live, which was recorded at The Triple Door in Seattle, Washington, and it features four new songs, five songs off his previous album, Music Is The Medicine, and a sizzling cover of Led Zeppelin's 'Heartbreaker'. This album was recorded live to two-track without any musical overdubs. 'History can happen when you least expect it,' says Anthony Gomes about this CD. 'We recorded Live on a cold Tuesday winter night in Seattle…The crowd was enthusiastic, the room was dynamic and the band was electric. We couldn't help but play our best. They asked for his final words and he said, ‘Let’s rock.’” There isn’t a lot of overthinking on The Black Keys’ first new record in five years. It’s the sound of the duo kicking out the jams in Nashville. Topics of escape and confusion are seeded in Auerbach’s dueling guitar overlays and propped up by Patrick Carney’s steady hands. Songs recall the joy of traveling up and down a transistor radio dial in the ’70s; there are nods to Stealers Wheel (“Sit Around and Miss You”) and The Amboy Dukes (“Every Little Thing”), as well as dips into glam and Texas boogie-woogie. Carney digs for “When the Levee Breaks” bedrock on “Go.” Then “Lo/Hi,” “Fire Walk With Me,” and “Get Yourself Together” are classic Black Keys, complete with strutting backbeat and Leisa Hans and Ashley Wilcoxson’s backup vocals, which are so key to their chemistry and continuity.
