He was born in Cologne, but it was in Paris that Jacques Offenbach achieved fame. A special feature of this 30-CD collection are star-studded recordings in both French and German of his most celebrated operettas – works that overflow with joie de vivre and satirical wit – and of Les Contes d’Hoffmann, an opera that daringly fuses fantasy, comedy and tragedy. It also includes irresistibly stylish performances of such tempting rarities as Les Brigands, Pomme d’Api, Monsieur Choufleuri and Mesdames de la Halle.

Louis Daniel Armstrong, nicknamed Satchmo, Satch, and Pops, was an American trumpeter, composer, vocalist and occasional actor who was one of the most influential figures in jazz. His career spanned five decades, from the 1920s to the 1960s, and different eras in the history of jazz. In 2017, he was inducted into the Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame.

Originally released in 1967, the compilation album Prezervation brings together tracks that jazz saxophonist Stan Getz recorded in 1949 and 1950. Backing Getz here is pianist Al Haig, who gets second billing, as well as guitarist/vocalist Jimmy Raney, bassist Tommy Potter, drummer Roy Haynes, and others. The album is a superb example of early West Coast jazz and a must-have collection for Getz aficionados.

This Spain-established band (they came from Germany playing beat & R&B under the name of The Vampires in the mid-60s) was one of the most interesting groups of its era. They blended soul music with progressive and jazz sounds, offering the listener loads of Hammond grooves and psychedelic fuzz guitar. Their rare LP from 1970 is another one of the most sought-after records from Spain's rock heritage. This edition comes in the same bag-type sleeve, which features extensive info on the band, plus cool photos + 4 bonus tracks from a couple of 1971/72 singles not on the original album.

Salvatore, Knight Adamo, known commonly as Adamo, is a musician and singer known for his romantic ballads. Adamo was born in Italy and his family's ancestry is Italian, but he grew up from a very early age in Belgium and has made that country his homeland. He first gained popularity throughout Europe and later in the Middle East, Latin America, Japan, and the United States. He has sold more than 80 million albums and 20 million singles making him one of the most commercially successful musicians in the world. He mainly performs in French but has also sung in English, German, Italian, Spanish and Turkish. "Tombe la neige", "La nuit", and "Inch'Allah" remain his best known songs. He is currently the best selling Belgian musician of all time.

The Great War is the ninth studio album by Swedish power metal band Sabaton. It was released on 19 July 2019. It is the first studio album to feature guitarist Tommy Johansson. The album was released in four separate editions: the standard release, a history edition with contextual narration preceding each track, a soundtrack edition featuring instrumental versions of the songs, and a Sabaton History Patreon exclusive release containing narration by Indy Neidell. The Great War garnered mostly positive reviews. Metal Hammer's Holly Wright gave it 4/5 stars, praising it as "a rip-roaring, riff-addled march towards victory, coaxing influences from folk and power metal that sounds remarkably upbeat for an account of bloodthirsty mass destruction." The Guardian's Dave Simpson rated the album 3/5 stars and said he preferred the History version, which precedes the songs with voiceovers describing the events the songs are about.

Throughout his career, vibraphonist Johnny Lytle never recorded with a major record label, preferring instead to cut tracks for lesser-known but respected imprints like Riverside Records and others. This may have prevented him from becoming as popular as some of the big names he recorded with Wynton Kelly, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Ray Charles and Roy Ayers among them but his dedication to following his own creative instincts made the man known as "Fast Hands" an icon amongst true jazz aficionados worldwide. His 1967 record "Done It Again" captures Lytle at his best, bursting with energy and verve to spare. The bright West Coast-flavored title cut is balanced by tender ballads like "The Nearness of You" and "If I Should Leave You", all held together by Lytle's dynamic presence and tight arrangements.
