As most of you know, the Italian Genesis magazine DUSK is run by journalist Mario Giammetti. What you probably didn't know - Mario also sings. Back in the Eighties, he formed a band called Algebra with some friends but it took them more than 10 years to record a proper album. Their debut album was Storia Di Un Iceberg and was released in 1994. Another album followed 15 years later, called JL. Steve and John Hackett guested on that record.

Éric Legnini is a Belgian jazz pianist and leader of the Éric Legnini Trio. He started to play piano in the Stefano Di Battista Quartet. In the 1990s, he worked with Flavio Boltro (trumpet) and Stefano Di Battista (saxophone) forming the jazz ensemble Éric Legnini Trio that caught attention in the 1990s. He has played with fellow artists like Aldo Romano, Belmondo Quintet, John Ruocco, Félix Simtaine, Michel Hatzi, Dré Palemaerts, Emanuel Cisi, Toninho Horta, Philippe Catherine, Serge Reggiani, Hein van de Geyn, Marcia Maria, Jacques Pelzer, André Ceciarelli, Éric Le Lann, Paco Sery and others.

Charli is the third studio album by English singer Charli XCX. It was released through Asylum and Atlantic Records UK on 13 September 2019. Charli XCX's initial third studio album was planned for release in 2017, but was scrapped in its entirety following online leaks. The album will be supported by a world tour, beginning in Atlanta on 20 September 2019. Charli was preceded by the singles "1999" with Troye Sivan, "Blame It on Your Love" featuring Lizzo, and "Gone" with Christine and the Queens. Charli was also promoted by the promotional singles "Cross You Out" featuring Sky Ferreira, "Warm" featuring Haim, "February 2017" featuring Clairo and Yaeji, and "2099" also featuring Sivan. Formed eight years ago by drummer Jeff Ballard with fellow Brad Mehldau partner Larry Grenadier on bass and saxophonist Mark Turner(one of the most resourceful and independent sax newcomers of the last decade), the New York trio Fly is an exchange between equals, not a sax-led charge over a rhythm section. Though it falls into the territory sometimes dubbed "chamber-jazz", Year of the Snake is up there with Fly's best work, with its rustling fast grooves and languid horn lines, and pieces that open on almost impossibly pure high-register long tones.

Tedeschi Trucks Band has announced a new four-track EP, High & Mighty, which is set for release on all digital platforms on September 27th via Fantasy Records. The release date will coincide with the opening night of TTB’s annual Beacon Theatre residency, where the band will offer up six performances over nine nights in New York City.

The Replacements will release a new box set titled Dead Man’s Pop. Due out September 27th, the four-disc collection compiles all the rough mixes and alternate takes that comprise their cruelly underrated sixth studio album, 1989’s Don’t Tell a Soul.

If you want to judge a pianist's versatility, listen to his or her recording of the Schumann Piano Concerto. It requires virtually everything a pianist should have to offer: poetry, virtuosity, expansive expression alternating with poised restraint. What a glorious test piece this is. Richter, who was famous for his Schumann playing, passes every test here. His meltingly beautiful delivery of Schumann's melodies touches the heart, and his execution of the most difficult passages is so smooth and effortless that it never calls a bit of attention to itself. In this piece and the Introduction and Allegro, the excellent orchestra also covers itself with glory.
