As usual, he gathers a loose aggregation of musicians who create stunning, free-flowing acoustic sounds that defy categorization…

Lyrically singing with his soprano sax, telling his story in an album dedicated to his departed father, Stephane Spira and his accomplice, pianist Giovanni Mirabassi, embark on a dreamy and introspective road trip, soaked with melancholy. Spira's father was a colorful character and antiquarian with a mad passion for music, and Spirabassi is imprinted with that character.

Stephanie Mills first came to prominence in 1975 with her performance as Dorothy in the stage version of THE WIZ on Broadway. Although she had released two albums in the mid-70s it was the teaming of Mills with JAMES MTUME and REGGIE LUCAS that made her a bonafide R&B star. The team’s first release on 20th Century was WHAT CHA GONNA DO WITH MY LOVIN’ in 1979. The title track reached the R&B Top 10 and became an instant classic. In addition, the album also spawned two massive club hits in the form of PUT YOUR BODY IN IT and YOU CAN GET OVER.WHAT CHA GONNA DO WITH MY LOVIN’ also featured Stephanie’s reading of PEABO BRYSON’s FEEL THE FIRE which to this day is on heavy rotation on the Quiet Storm radio format in the US.

Drummer Steve Gadd, the man responsible for some of the most memorable grooves and explosive drum solos on record, is often looked at as a perpetual sideman and session giant. Gadditude finds the man of the hour fronting/backing a band that's been backing Taylor for years. Together, without Taylor, they deliver a program that's alternately about fun, feel and depth. Gadd's partners on this journey—bassist Jimmy Johnson, trumpeter Walt Fowler , guitarist Michael Landau and keyboardist Larry Goldings—are all supremely gifted players with shared musical values, making them ideally suited for this project.

On November 15th, Germany’s celtic metal masters Suidakra celebrate their 25th anniversary with the release of “Echoes Of Yore” via MDD. All the 10 tracks were selected from the band’s history by the fans, being re-recorded for this special occasion as part of a Kickstarter project! Kris Verwimp, who is also the creative head behind the lyrical direction of the band, is responsible for the artwork.

Sting had a lot to prove on his first post-Police effort, and he proved himself up to the task of establishing a distinctive identity as a solo artist. Instead of replicating his reggae-tinged Police style, he ventured into new realms, hiring top drawer American jazz musicians like Branford Marsalis, Kenny Kirkland and drum monster Omar Hakim to accompany him on the kind of harmonically sophisticated (though decidedly non-jazz) tunes he'd begun working on towards the end of the Police's lifetime (see SYNCHRONICITY).
