Whether recording as a solo performer, a member of Stealers Wheel or as one-half of The Humblebums, the late Gerry Rafferty was always a master craftsman, leaving behind a dazzling portfolio of songs. Although early success eluded him, it was during his time with the nominally folk-oriented Transatlantic label that Gerry learnt his craft. As most fans will be only too aware, those early recordings have been repackaged on a regular basis over the last four decades or so with varying degrees of care and attention.

Nick Magnus is familiar to many Steve Hackett fans as a band member of the early Steve Hackett band. Nick and Steve stayed in touch and Nick also appeared as a special guest at the Steve Hackett Event in Germany 2009. Nick has released a couple of solo albums, i.e. Hexameron, Children Of Another God and n'monix, which were both received well and both had an interesting guest list of musicians. Nick has now announced his next studio album. Catharsis will be released on 30th September. It is inspired by the landscape and legends of the Ariège in the French Pyrénées.

Ken Hensley is an English singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, best known for his work with Uriah Heep during the 1970s. A return to the studio in 2002 saw the creation of this classic solo, featuring great some brilliant musicians like John Wetton, Andy Pyle and Dave Kilminster.

Steve Morse started his career as the lead guitarist for the Dixie Dregs. He then formed the Steve Morse Band and released numerous albums over the 80's & 90's. Stand Up was their 2nd album release, issued in 1985. It features guest artists Eric Johnson, Peter Frampton, T. Lavitz, Albert Lee & Mark O'Connor.

The solo debut of instrumental fusion rock from the former guitarist with The Dregs/Dixie Dregs, Introduction features an excellent mix of styles and top-notch playing. Guitarist Albert Lee guests on this effort. Highlights include the hyperdrive "Cruise Missile," "General Lee," and the anthemic title track.

Serge Reggiani is a French chanson legend who first rose to fame as a singer in the 1960s after already having established himself as an actor in the cinema decades earlier. Born on May 2, 1922, in Reggio Emilia, Italy, he moved to France with his family at age eight. In the 1940s he established himself as an actor in the French cinema, most notably appearing in the Marcel Carné film Les Portes de la Nuit (1946) in addition to many others. He remained active in the cinema from the 1940s until the end of the century, acting in over 80 films total.

LaVerne Butler has recorded only sporadically since her 1992 debut, but it isn't due to a lack of talent. Steeped in jazz with an appreciation for R&B, she tackles a mix of Broadway tunes and pop, backed by her frequent collaborator, the gifted pianist Bruce Barth, who also penned the arrangements, along with bassist Ugonna Okegwo and drummer Rudy Royston, with tenor saxophonist Houston Person added on seven tracks. Butler makes it all sound effortless with her expressive alto, gliding through the arrangements as if they've long been part of her repertoire instead of being created just before the sessions.
