King, James Cotton, Son House, Magic Sam, T-Bone Walker, Junior Wells, Big Mama Thornton, Clifton Chenier, Son House, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Pinetop Perkins, J. B. Hutto & His Hawks, Roosevelt Sykes, Luther Allison, Otis Rush, Big Joe Williams, Charlie Musselwhite and more. The first ever release of music recorded live at the landmark event, ANN ARBOR BLUES FESTIVAL 1969 will be available on August 2, 2019 in two individual 2x LP volumes, exclusively on 180 gram vinyl, and on CD.

Centuries later, hardly anyone can escape the effects of Baroque music: Vivaldi, Handel and Bach are still classic chart strikers par excellence. The Königliches Barock album combines everything that makes this music so fascinating: festive splendor as in Handel's fireworks music, Telemann's trumpet concerto or Charpentiers Te Deum, sacred depth as in Corelli's Christmas concert, Albinoni's Adagio or Pachelbel's canon.

Under A Common Sky’ is the third album from London based four-piece Electric Litany. The 9 tracks were written in a beach house in Corfu during the summer of 2017 before being recorded at Fish Factory, North London by producer George Botis. It is Electric Litany’s most ambitious recording to date. Inspired not only by the nocturnal nature of the island but also the humanitarian crisis in which we find ourselves. The album invites us into dark territory with early tracks ‘CFU’ and ‘Sealight’ before ascending to the heavenly heights of mid-album track ‘Bedroom’, a song reminiscent of 1970s songwriting. Tales of humanity that permeated earlier albums once again reveal themselves in the unambiguously titled ‘Refugee’. The almost dystopian cinematic production acting as a fitting backdrop to the record.

The Handbook of the Acid Rider presents the latest musical works of Chilean chapman stick virtuoso Francisco Rafart, better known artistically as Rafart. The album presents a collection of instrumental pieces where Rafart shows his talent, crossing over into various musical territories such as progressive rock, jazz-rock, contemporary instrumental and electronica.

One of the first progressive bands from Brazil, O Terço (meaning rosary beads) first formed in 1968, but didn't hit its stride until the mid '70s. Personnel changes would become part of the bands dynamic, with Sergio Hinds assuming the Robert Fripp (or Chis Squire) role of band anchor. The group owed a lot of its early sound to such Italian favorites as Locanda Delle Fate, Quella Veccia Locanda, and Premiata Forneria Marconi. They also manged to mix in other styles, like folk, heavy metal, and funk. On the first album, O Terço was not yet full on prog, but it is a seminal work in the history Brazilian progressive music. There are obvious influences of the Moody Blues and Pink Floyd…

Of all Schubert's songs, the part songs for male voices are probably the hardest for contemporary audiences to take seriously. The sweetness of the harmonies recalls the saccharine harmonies of barbershop quartets, the emotions of the lyrics recall the sentimentality of greeting cards, and the sheer ubiquity of drinking songs recalls the inebriated bowling banquets of the Beneficent Order of Elks. But while Schubert's part songs for male voices are in many ways the precursors of all these smarmy things, they are themselves quite lovely.
