Two live recordings featuring Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac have been found and are being released officially on CD and vinyl as Before The Beginning 1968-1970. The recently discovered recordings date from 1968 and 1970 and were discovered unlabelled in the US, so not much is known about them other than they have been authenticated by experts and approved for release by Fleetwood Mac.

After a 23 year hiatus this excellent Swiss symphonic progressive rock band is back with a new album which is their 3rd to date. Created in 1988 in Moutier, in the Swiss Jura, Galaad died at the beginning of 1997, leaving two orphan albums, "First February" in 1992 and especially "Vae Victis", album which, in 1995, makes recognize the group with bigger scale, especially for its innovative qualities in the progressive genre. Galaad gives this style - truly popular in the 70s - a note of renewal. The poetic texts in French are melted in metal and groove, the group explores the pop rock by rendering it a unique form. In 2016, Galaad re-forms itself in its almost original version, with Sébastien Froidevaux on guitar, Gianni Giardiello on keyboards, Gérard Zuber on bass, Laurent Petermann on drums and Pierre-Yves Theurillat on vocals.

Being "The World’s Most Notorious Rock Band" (according to the band itself) is not easy. One of the most notorious and successful bands of the glam metal era, Los Angeles rockers Mötley Crüe burned through the '80s in a blaze of drugs, debauchery, and platinum hits. Their glammed-out image, hard-partying reputation, and a knack for melding pop hooks to heavy metal theatrics took the band to the top of the charts repeatedly throughout the '80s. Albums like 1985's Theatre of Pain and 1989's Dr. Feelgood bringing them to sold-out arenas around the world. In The Many Faces of Mötley Crüe, we will explore the band's inner world, including collaborations, side projects, their hits-filled catalog and the rest of the "hair-metal" generation where they raised from.

The third installment of the Groundtruther trilogy sees Charlie Hunter and Bobby Previte inviting John Medeski to be the third wheel. With both Hunter and Medeski on board, one could be forgiven for thinking this was going to be a funky good time, but Groundtruther is about pure spontaneous improvisation and totally unconcerned with getting people out on the dancefloor. There are two discs: Above Sea Level is the electrified set and Below Sea Level is the acoustic set. The electric set has Medeski playing his full array of vintage keyboards (including some really nice Mellotron) with Previte playing a hybrid electric/acoustic drum kit and electronics and Hunter using a near lethal amount of distortion. Medeski and Hunter compete for wicked tones, and with Previte's knack for triggered samples, it can be difficult to figure out who's doing what at times.

Martha Argerich and Friends Live from the Lugano Festival 2009 features a lot of friends but not a lot of Martha Argerich. Although the friends are very good (though not very well known), they are nowhere nearly as good as Argerich, but how many performers could reasonably be expected to be as good as the insanely talented Argentinean pianist? This three-CD set contains 12 pieces, and Argerich plays on just five of them. Inevitably, these are the strongest performances, leading off with a stirring Fantasiestücke for piano trio by Schumann, with Argerich and Renaud and Gautier Capuçon.

20,000 Days on Earth is a 2014 British documentary musical drama film co-written and directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard. Nick Cave also co-wrote the script with Forsyth and Pollard. The film premiered in-competition in the World Cinema Documentary Competition at 2014 Sundance Film Festival on 20 January 2014. It won two Awards at the festival…

A great change of pace for Billy Taylor – and one of the most striking sessions he made in the 50s! As you'll guess from the title, the record features Taylor's piano along with four flutes – played by Frank Wess, Herbie Mann, Jerome Richardson, and Phil Bodner – working here both in group formation, and in solo mode – fluttering nicely with a cool jazzy sound that really prefaces lots of use of the instrument in the 60s! Another added bonus on the record is added congas from Chano Pozo on most tracks, making for a groovy Latinesque bounce. Titles include "Blue Shutters", "One For The Woofer", "The Song Is Ended", "Back Home", "No Parking", and "Lady Be Good".
